Spiritual growth is a process and it involves the work of the Holy Spirit and personal effort. At Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, the spiritual growth map represents the pathways and activities that help you grow spritually toward maturity. As a process, the spiritual growth map consists of four essentials that guide and facilitate your personal spritual health.
The Four Essentails of Becoming a Fully Devoted Follower of Jesus
In addition to small groups and Sunday school classes, there are spiritual growth opportunities through men’s and women’s ministries. There are also growing experiences through the Adult Wednesday Night Program.

Embracing the mission of God in the world, we proclaim in word and deed the gospel of Jesus Christ. As people who are consecrated to God, we share God’s love for the lost and compassion for the poor and broken. The Great Commandment and the Great Commission move us to engage the world in evangelism, compassion, and justice. To this end, we are committed to inviting people to faith in Christ, to caring for those in need, to standing against injustice and with the oppressed, to work to protect and preserve the resources of God’s creation, and to welcome into our fellowship all who seek the Lord.
One of the Core Values of the Church of the Nazarene:
We strongly urge our people to have weekly contact with the unchurched people, and to intentionally build a relationship with them, that will eventually lead to an opportunity to tell your story and have spiritual conversations.
