Greetings! Thanks for stopping by to get to know me a little better.
My name is Tyler Wasson, and the youth pastor here at Valley Shepherd. My journey here has some amazing details, but here are just a few of them. I started life in Puyallup, WA back in 1982. I grew up in a great home and a great church. I graduated high school in 2001 and ventured out to the great plains of Kansas. I attended MidAmerica Nazarene University where I majored in Youth and Family ministry, while playing basketball for the school on the side!
After graduation in 2005 I spent 10 weeks in California working as a mission site coordinator for YouthWorks. I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in October of 2005 as the youth pastor there. Two and a half years later God called me away from Nebraska in order to introduce me to my amazing wife, CarrieLynn. We met in June of 2008 and got married on May 17, 2009.
I enjoy a good baseball game, especially if the Mariners are playing. Love college basketball and football. I’ll eat ice cream anytime, anywhere. I enjoy being outdoors and love to watch movies.
