Jr. High Youth of Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene

June 28^th- July 5^th

“To Love God Authentically and to be Missionaries in our Culture”

Purpose: To provide an opportunity for the Jr. high Students of Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene to engage in a week long mission trip experience. This trip will serve the purposes of growing in our faith with Jesus, learning a new culture, and reinforcing our need to be “missionaries in our culture.”

Organization: Center for Student Missions (CSM) www.csm.org

Center for Student Missions (CSM) is a mission’s organization that provides youth/college age students with an urban mission trip experience. It is not a ministry of the church of the Nazarene, however, many Nazarene churches haves been apart of their ministries and have found it to be a great organization.

Cost: $450.00

Requirements: Youth must be currently in 7^th or 8^th grade. Students must

have a current (or get) TB vaccination. Students must fill out a med/liability release form specific for this trip. Students must participate in all trainings, fundraising, and have a ton of fun!

Deposit: $61 is due by March 5^th to ensure a spot on this trip. Spots are

filled on a first come first serve basis.

***We will begin to do fundraising as soon as possible. It is my desire that the expense for this trip will come mostly from fundraising events and that very minimal (if any at all) will come out of parents pockets.

Purpose: This trip will engage students in new cultures, new experiences, and help disciple them to grow deeper in their faith with Jesus.

Description: We will take a group of students to Portland, OR and serve with Adsideo, a Nazarene church plant, lead by Sr. Pastor Jim Wicks. We will be doing ministry with the different organizations that Adsideo has partnered with in their community to bring the gospel to the people who need it most. It will be a week long experience designed to challenge our students to think missionally.

Cost: $300.00. I know this is a lot of money, however, we will be putting on multiple fund raisers that will hopefully help cover the majority of the cost. A deposit of $50.00 will be required to reserve a spot on this trip. This deposit is due by April 20^th.
