Early Child (0 - Kindergarten)

All children in our Early Child program are required to be checked in and out by their parents. You will check your child in at the security counter in the Early Childhood Dept. Your child will be given a name tag with a number. You will be given a corresponding number to use when picking your child up from Sunday School or Wee Chuch. Wee Church is immediately following Sunday School. If you have not registered your child prior to the church service you will need to accompany your child to Wee church and register them at that time. Check out is done at the same counter that parents will check their kids in. You will need to show your number and sign your child out. Parents will not be allowed to enter passed the counter, with exception to first time visitors, and parents dropping off toddlers into the nursery.

Grade School (1st Grade - 6th Grade)

Children in our Grade school program are escorted with their Sunday School teachers into the gym(or other room being used, signs will be used to direct parents to area of pick up/drop off.) Our Children’s Pastor, Casey Wilkerson works on a weekly lesson with age appropriate music, crafts, games, and snacks in order to make your child’s experience at Valley Shepherd an incredible one. Children’s Church on Sunday (CCOS) is immediately following Sunday School except for the 1st Sunday of the Month. The 1st Sunday of the Month all children attend the church service with their parents for a “Family Service”. The children are kept in the gym until their parents pick them up. This is done as a security measure and also to keep a large number of children from converging into the hallways all at once.
